Lori and Ian | The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing
The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing in Richmond, Va is a gorgeous place to say "I do." The venue has gorgeous views of downtown Richmond and is located right on the water! Lori and Ian had beautiful blue skies with puffy white clouds! It was perfect! Lori and Ian welcomed family and guests from all over the world, literally, so it was nice to have such a perfect day to celebrate with them!
If you have ever considered a "first look" this is a great wedding for you to look at! Lori and Ian decided to do one and only used this time for the two of them! So we had 30+ minutes before the wedding dedicated to only portraits of them! Which was AWESOME!! You'll see below all the photos (well the sneak peeks - anyway) that we were able to get early! A first look for them definitely meant LOTS OF PICTURES!
Lori's wedding dress was from Church Street Bridal in Lynchburg, VA. All the proceeds from this bridal store help women and children in Central Va. Lori wore red lipstick which complimented her red shoes from Ellie Wren Wedding Shoes on Etsy. Ian's suit was from Men's Warehouse. The flowers were from Coleman Bros. The cupcakes were delicious and made by Pearl's Cupcakes. For dessert, they also had ice cream sandwiches by Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches. Panda Entertainment, the DJ, kept the dance floor on fire! I loved working with Derek Fowler Productions, the wedding videographer! The venue, The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing was amazing! The views, the layout of the building, everything! ...but aside from that, the staff there was AMAZING! They were all so helpful and so accommodating! It was so nice that they cared about the guests and vendors! The venue had limitations on what types of exits you could have, which is understandable. ...so Lori thought creatively and decided to go with a hand tunnel for their exit! It was simple, unique and sooooooo fun! ...Not to mention, there was no setup, no clean up and no rules were broken! Go look at all the pretty!
