I participated in my very first bridal show this past weekend! Marry Me, presented by Triad Weddings, is the area's premier planning event! I was honored to be among the top wedding professionals the Triad and surrounding area has to offer. There were so many talented, innovative and passionate business owners ready to service potential brides and grooms. It was definitely a great day!
As you may know, I share a building with Just Priceless and Printology! Because of this, Just Priceless and I had the opportunity to share a booth at Marry Me! This turned out to have many advantages! 1. I photographed a gorgeous wedding at The Lofts at Union Square on Saturday and was unable to set up our booth. Luckily, Sami and her talented team were willing and available to set everything up for us!! Huge bonus for me! ...and did you see what they did!? Well, you will in just a sec! They did such a great job making everything come together! 2. Flowers make everything beautiful! Just Priceless flowers beautifully complimented the wedding portraits and really made everything pop! 3. It was fun having such a great friend by my side the whole event! Definitely some fun girl time!
The event itself was awesome! I had the opportunity to meet with so many brides (and some grooms)! I absolutely love getting to be a part of all the excitement! I loved getting to meet so many new people, hear about their wedding plans and answer questions about all things weddings! And as a sweet treat, I handed out my favorite chocolate, Ghiradelli Cholocalate with Caramel!
Our antique chair came from the Prettiest Pieces in Greensboro, as well as the china and stemware! Our gorgeous table linen came from Party Reflections!
If you're in the majority, it's likely you have never had any professional headshots taken. It's probably not even on your radar of things to do! In many cases, most didn't even consider it until their boss asked for it and they realized they didn't have any! I want to suggest to you, don't wait! Your picture on your website, Linked In page, business card, marketing materials, etc is often the first impression people have of you. That picture represents you, your business and your brand. A professional picture will help make you look more professional. Including pictures on your marketing materials also helps give your business a personal touch! Sessions are relaxed, quick and easy! The Roller Mill Events was the perfect venue for this beautiful couple's classic vintage wedding. White flowers, white pumpkins, white lace runners and antique china...add the rustic look of The Roller Mills and you have vintage inspired, wedding perfection! I was obsessed by Ashley's makeup and hair by Tropical Breeze Salon! They had the already gorgeous bride looking flawless! ...and that dress from Bellissima!!!! Sooooo perfect! It seriously looked like it was made just for her! Flowers by Neil beautifully arranged all the flowers! The wedding cake was delicious and beautiful by Delicious Bakery. The groom looked sharp in his suit from Men's Wearhouse! Twice Loved Vintage supplied all the vintage rentals. Tiger Paw Entertainment made it a Par-TAY!!! And a huge shoutout to Angela Beasley, our wedding director for helping the day go so smoothly! ...oh and let's not forget Buttercup Cafe! Dinner was delicious! Ashley and Matt are so in love and the camera loved them! The Roller Mill has a saying that "you aren't married unless you have had your pictures taken with the mural wall!" So Matt and Ashley ARE officially married....go check them out!
The Huffington Post loved this beautiful couple as much as we did! They featured one of their pictures in their November Wedding Roundup! Check it out here!
It's Cassandra's Senior Year! She'll be graduating from Forsyth Technical Community College and Wiles School of Nursing in December. I was honored to take her senior portraits and help her commemorate this accomplishment and milestone! She's beautiful inside and out! She's hardworking, caring and awesome with children! ...which makes her the perfect candidate for pediatric nursing! I have no doubt that she will be amazing and will touch sooooo many children! Cassandra is definitely loved by the Leonard family as she babysits our kids, assists with lighting and accompanies me on all sorts of adventures - including Hanging Rock for a proposal! She's really become a family friend and we have loved it! She's about to spread her wings and venture to a new chapter and we will definitely miss having her around all the time! <3 Congratulations Cassandra, we love you!
L'abri at Linwood made the most beautiful setting for Samantha and Robbie's sunset engagement session.
Megan and Jacob were married at Villa de l'Amour in High Point, NC surrounded by their closest friends and family! Megan looked absolutely flawless in her gorgeous gown from Carolina Bridal World. The rhinestone belt was the perfect finishing touch! ...and let's not forget her long, lace veil!! It was so dreamy and princess-like. Jacob looked sharp in his gray suit and black tie from Men's Wearhouse! ...and guests commented all evening on his HUGE smile! Jacob genuinely looked soooo happy! They both did! Their first dance was the sweetest thing ever to watch! They hugged...and smiled...and laughed...and just soaked each other in! You could really tell they were soaking in every minute! And make sure you scroll down and see Morgan's toast (Megan's twin sister) ...she had us all in tears! It was the most touching tribute to a lifelong friendship and sister bond.
Sedgefield Florist did an amazing job on all the flowers! Her bouquet perfectly pulled all the colors together incorporated in the wedding. On Target DJ was awesome and made the reception a - PARTY!! Megan and Jacob are madly in love and it's definitely evident in the photographs! Enjoy!
